About the Role

The CEO Office Strategy & Operations team partners directly with Airwallex's executive leadership on the company's most important priorities, working across regions and functions to turn complex, ambiguous problems into clear decisions and executable plans. This role is for someone who enjoys solving difficult problems, working across disciplines, and building things where the playbook does not yet exist.

Responsibilities

  • Build market-entry strategies, assessing market attractiveness, customer opportunity, competitive dynamics, and regulatory feasibility.
  • Design the market-entry model by evaluating licensing pathways, entity structures, partnerships, and operating models.
  • Translate strategy into product requirements by partnering with Product and Engineering.
  • Drive cross-functional launch readiness by owning workstreams and working across functions to identify dependencies and blockers.
  • Enable executive decision-making by synthesizing complex perspectives into clear choices and recommendations.
  • Build the Global Expansion operating system by developing reusable frameworks, dashboards, templates, and AI-enabled tools.
  • Take on broader CEO Office priorities, including strategic reviews, restructuring programs, and crisis-response workstreams.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in top-tier strategy consulting (MBB or equivalent), or in a strategy, operations, expansion, product strategy, or regulatory role within fintech, payments, banking, or financial infrastructure.
  • Strong structured problem-solving skills to break down ambiguous problems and develop a point of view.
  • Experience driving at least one complex cross-functional initiative involving product, regulatory, operational, or commercial stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and synthesis skills to explain complex issues clearly and concisely to different audiences.
  • High ownership and operating discipline, moving quickly, managing dependencies, and following through reliably.
  • Comfort using AI tools for research, analysis, drafting, synthesis, or workflow improvement, with sound judgment.
  • Experience in fintech, payments, banking, or financial infrastructure, particularly in strategy, operations, product, expansion, or regulatory roles.
  • Experience in financial or payments markets in Latam.
  • Experience supporting new-market launches, new financial products, or other complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Exposure to financial-services regulation or licensing.
  • Experience working across functions such as Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, Treasury, Operations, and Commercial.
  • Experience building lightweight automation, dashboards, or AI-enabled workflows.
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese.
