About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter. Monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Provide courteous customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to alarms and other site needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, compassionate, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of shelter common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, facility concerns, and access-control issues.
- Monitor access to the location, greet and direct visitors, verify authorization as required, and maintain awareness of activity entering and leaving the facility.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
