About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter. Monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Respond to alarms and access control needs, communicate clearly, and provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, respectful, problem-solving manner while following established reporting procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the shelter location, entrances, common areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and unauthorized access.
- Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization as required, and help maintain an orderly environment for residents and staff.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
