About the Role
The Senior Financial Analyst plays an important role in the overall management and development of financial activities for Rogers Wireless service revenue and wireless equipment finance. This position will work closely with various teams to provide value-added Financial Planning, analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate must be a strategic thinker that looks at Financial and Business issues with a different perspective to highlight risks and opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for Forecast and budgeting for wireless revenue and hardware planning
- Responsible for the overall month end closing and planning process
- Conduct Analysis on subscriber & revenue trends and provide recommendations
- Prepare and present weekly variance analysis and commentary vs forecasts
- Building and maintaining forecast models at the Regional and National level
- Ensure integrity of data in models and reports, while thinking about new and innovative ways to make existing reports more efficient and effective
- Lead special projects / ad-hoc assignments as required
- Provide ad hoc & self-driven financial analysis as needed to improve business
- Participate in preparation of budget and forecast process
Requirements
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, planning and organizational skills
- Expert level working knowledge of Excel (index-match, sumifs, vlookup)
- Experience with a visualization tool (Tableau, Power BI, etc) is an asset
- Accounting designation (CA, CMA or CGA) or MBA preferred
- 3-5 years of progressive financial experience
- Comfort and confidence presenting to senior leaders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and motivating others
- Brings a positive attitude and flexible to pivot seamlessly as priorities evolve
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence across the organization
- Knowledge of Essbase and V21 is an asset
- Must clear a criminal background check
- A credit check and drivers abstract may be required depending on the role
