About the Role
We are seeking motivated Structured Cabling Technicians to join our growing Field Services team. The Structured Cabling Technician (VFT) plays a vital role in designing, installing, and maintaining high-quality cabling solutions for diverse client needs. In this role, you'll travel to customer sites to install, maintain, and troubleshoot structured cabling and telecommunications equipment. You'll work directly with internal support teams and customers to ensure every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot structured cabling and telecommunications equipment at customer sites.
- Collaborate with internal support teams and customers to ensure project completion.
- Design and install high-quality cabling solutions.
- Travel to customer sites.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years of consistent work experience.
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
- Ability to obtain aerial lift certifications.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds independently on a repetitive basis.
- Working knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
- Willingness to travel 95% nationwide, including extended overnight travel.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in structured cabling, field services, telecommunications, or a related technical field.
- At least 1 year of low-voltage cabling experience.
- Experience working in commercial environments performing cable installation and equipment deployment.
- Experience leading or mentoring junior technicians is a plus.
