About the Role
The Payroll Analyst is responsible for completing and transmitting payroll from start to end, ensuring all employee payments and deductions are accurately calculated, applied, and processed. This role also supports labor reporting and ensures payroll-related data is complete, compliant, and delivered on time. As part of our company, you will be exposed to a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. Due to the nature of our business, our industry experiences fluctuations may result in irregular working hours, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete payroll cycle, including data entry, distribution of payroll and validate employee pay calculations and deductions prior to transmission.
- Ensure payroll is transmitted accurately and on schedule using ADP EV5.
- Confirm payroll outcomes, gross pay, deductions, net pay matches approved records.
- Generate and analyze daily, monthly and per event labor reports to provide to management including ADOF and GM as required.
- Maintain consistency between payroll and labor reporting records.
- Collaborate with department managers to ensure hours/payroll inputs used for reporting are completed and accurate.
- Assist with the collection and verification of employee timesheets matches with ABIMM.
- Assist in processing tip payments and reconcile for accuracy.
- Ensure that all hours worked and tips earned are accurately reflected in payroll.
- Maintain documentation and audit trails for payroll processing.
- Follow internal payroll procedures and ensure confidentiality of employee payroll information.
- Serve as back up to the Payroll Manager and Payroll Supervisor during absences or peak periods.
- Process wage garnishments and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Support the payroll team with various administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Prior experience in payroll processing minimum of 3 years.
- 3 years’ experience with labor reporting processes and timekeeping systems.
- Very strong knowledge of payroll software and Microsoft Excel (tech-savvy).
- Strong organization skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Work a flexible schedule, long hours and on weekends.
- Ability to interpret union contract.
- Must be able to withstand loud noise in the environment.
- Employment is contingent upon new employees providing documents verifying U.S. citizenship or, for aliens, documents verifying legal permission to work in the United States.
