About the Role

This internship/co-op role focuses on supporting sales traders, assisting clients, and facilitating daily trading activities. You will also be involved in research, maintaining client-facing portals, and optimizing trading operations through front-office solutions.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with sales traders to support clients and assist with client requests.
• Conducting day-to-day activities that facilitate client trading.
• Allocating client trades to the proper accounts.
• Conducting research and obtaining market data through Bloomberg, Trading systems, and internal databases.
• Maintaining the group's online, client-facing, web portal.
• Designing and implementing front-office solutions to optimize trading operations.
• Assisting in multiple marketplace modeling and ad-hoc quantitative research.
• Coordinating with various groups (middle office, back office, technology, clients) in resolving technical and settlement issues in trading operations.
• Contributing towards the development of marketplace modeling and ad-hoc quantitative research.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a relevant post-secondary program.
• A combination of strong financial/analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in financial modeling and valuation.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills are mandatory for direct client interaction.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with others (both internal and external stakeholders).
• Highly-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a proactive manner.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail is a MUST.
