About the Role
This internship/co-op role focuses on supporting clients and facilitating trading operations through research, data analysis, and front-office solution development. You will contribute to marketplace modeling and quantitative research while coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders to resolve technical and settlement issues.
Responsibilities
- Support clients and assist with client requests
- Conduct day-to-day activities that facilitate client trading
- Allocate client trades to the proper accounts
- Conduct research and obtain market data through Bloomberg, Trading systems, and internal databases
- Maintain the group's online, client-facing, web portal
- Design and implement front-office solutions to optimize trading operations
- Assist in multiple marketplace modeling and ad-hoc quantitative research
- Coordinate with various groups (middle office, back office, technology, clients) in resolving technical and settlement issues in trading operations
- Contribute towards the development of marketplace modeling and ad-hoc quantitative research
Requirements
- Current enrollment in a relevant post-secondary program
- Combination of strong financial/analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in financial modeling and valuation
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills are mandatory for direct client interaction
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with others (both internal and external stakeholders)
- Highly-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a proactive manner
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail is a MUST
