About the Role
This role is responsible for manually cleaning and reprocessing scopes in a safe and cost-effective manner, executing the cleaning, sterilization, and assembly of equipment, supplies, and instruments. The position is crucial to patient safety in a high-volume department.
Responsibilities
- Manually clean and reprocess scopes.
- Execute the cleaning, sterilization, and assembly of equipment, supplies, and instruments.
- Follow established policies and procedures.
- Work in a high-volume department crucial to patient safety.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management or certified by the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).
- Prior CSPD experience.
- Experience with scopes.
- CER certification.
