About the Role

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a customer-focused Surgery Scheduler to serve as the first point of contact for patients, provide support to providers by scheduling surgical procedures and meetings, and help create exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures, testing, and pre-op appointments.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and oversee the management of consent forms for surgical procedures.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Oversee Provider schedule templates and input monthly schedules.
• Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
• Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support.
• Maintain patient records and support day-to-day office operations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent training.
• Demonstrated proficiency performing all Medical Reception core functions.
• 1 year of experience as a Surgery Scheduler or equivalent training, or demonstrated proficient performing all Medical Reception core functions (check in, check out and phones) of equivalent combination of experience, education and training.
