About the Role
As a Workday Engineer at Capital One, you will be instrumental in advancing the Human Resource Technology ecosystem and fostering a culture of technical excellence. You will champion automation of functional and technical processes and drive innovative solutions within the People Tech team, which is responsible for the digital transformation and operational excellence of Capital One’s corporate functions.
Responsibilities
- Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
- Understand and translate business priorities, integrating HR value proposition and strategies
- Deliver solutions in Workday across HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll, and Benefits
- Effectively communicate across teams, with Product Owners and stakeholders, influencing solutions across business partners
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and collaborate with HR partners to provide innovative ideas
- Continually research, test, and stay up-to-date on Workday updates, fixes, and capabilities
- Build and maintain thorough documentation for system implementation
- Serve as the primary contact for system-related questions from business and technical perspectives
- Provide production support for Workday, troubleshooting problems, testing, and working with the business to resolve issues
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
- At least 6 years of experience with Workday functional configuration tasks
- At least 4 years of experience configuring business processes within the Workday platform
- At least 2 years of experience with calculated fields or custom reports
- Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location
