About the Role

The FP&A Analyst – Income Statement will be an integral part of the GE Wind HQ Strategic Finance (FP&A) team, reporting to the Income Statement leader for Wind. This role is responsible for tracking Orders, Backlog, Revenue, and Margin (CM) within Wind, in partnership with P&L and functional leaders. The analyst will independently handle problem-solving and decision-making, participate in deep-dive data analysis, data organization and streamlining, and connect GL to the ledger for accurate forecasting and pacing models.

Responsibilities

Conduct analyses of key P&L lines and improve understanding of key drivers.
Develop a deep understanding of Income Statement KPIs.
Develop a thorough knowledge of Data Requests (DR), SAM (Sales and Margin) process, FP&A Masterfiles and Profit Walks.
Analyze performance and propose action plans to improve profitability and cost control.
Focus on P&L execution activities.
Support weekly pacing, closings, and monthly financial data reporting.
Use technical expertise and judgment to solve problems, create and improve financial processes, and monitor development.
Demonstrate technical skills and analytical thinking for problem-solving.
Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
Lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.
Explain information and develop skills to bring team members to consensus.
Convey performance expectations and handle sensitive issues.

Requirements

For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university or college.
At least 5 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s).
For roles outside of the USA - Advanced experience in Finance & Income Statement.
Knowledge level comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
