About the Role

The Cleaner is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the Polytainers facility, including the production floor, shared spaces, and offices. This role ensures the facility maintains good order and cleanliness in compliance with Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and keep a state of good order and cleanliness as outlined in the Current Good Manufacturing Practices Manual.
• Engage in sweeping, mopping, spraying, and sanitizing various common areas.
• Update and complete cleaning logs accurately once tasks are completed.
• Frequently review cleaning logs for daily responsibilities and complete cleaning tasks proactively and in a timely manner.
• Handle chemical cleaners and specialized cleaning equipment like the Tennant Machine.
• Follow all applicable procedures, wear appropriate protective equipment, and conduct tasks in a safe manner.
• Complete special projects as the needs arise and at the request of the Cleaning Supervisor or the Facilities Manager.

Requirements

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Ability to engage in prolonged standing, walking, and bending.
• Ability to reach above and below shoulder height.
• Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Contribute to a continuous improvement work environment where fairness, equity and non-discriminatory practices are the standard.
