About the Role

This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements for affordable housing properties, including managing LIHTC and HOME recertifications, tenant file reviews, and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Complete full annual LIHTC recertifications for properties within their portfolio.
  • Complete full annual HOME recertifications for properties with HOME and LIHTC recert waivers within their portfolio.
  • Prepare and send reminder notices to residents at 120, 90, 60, and 30 days.
  • Commence holdover for Failure to Recertify by the 2nd day of the effective month.
  • Ensure all completed annual recertifications have TIC and all forms are completed in their entirety before filing.
  • Enter all recertifications into Yardi and mark as complete.
  • Prepare for tenant file reviews with investors, syndicators, and monitoring agencies.
  • Assist in response to investor, syndicator, and monitoring agency audits.
  • Complete monthly, quarterly, and/or annual reporting.
  • Track audits, reporting, and recertifications.
  • Meet with residents as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned/needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
  • 2+ years’ experience in affordable housing needed.
  • Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office MS Excel, required.
  • Proficiency in Yardi Affordable is required.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Bilingual is a plus (Spanish).
