About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The CNA will provide high-quality, hands-on care and support to residents/patients while promoting their comfort, dignity, safety, and overall well-being. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, reliable, and works well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Take and record vital signs and other patient information as directed.
- Assist with transfers, repositioning, ambulation, and mobility.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents/patients.
- Observe and report changes in residents' condition to the nursing staff.
- Assist with meals and monitor food and fluid intake as needed.
- Provide compassionate emotional and social support.
- Follow all facility policies, procedures, and infection-control guidelines.
- Accurately document care provided.
- Work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Current CNA certification in New York
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1 year long-term care experience required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable, compassionate, and professional.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, lifting, and assisting with patient transfers.
