About the Role

Bally's Golf Link at Ferry Point is seeking a motivated Superintendent to contribute to a positive experience for members and guests while growing their knowledge of golf club operations.

Responsibilities

• Develops budgeting and capital plans, managing expenses within the department.
• Provides timely and accurate financial and non-financial reporting.
• Maintains golf course maintenance standards and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.
• Stays abreast of current agronomic information.
• Ensures proper mixing, calibration, and application of all chemical/fertilizers.
• Ensures associates obtain proper training and/or licenses for safe job performance.
• Addresses environmental concerns.
• Maintains awareness of agronomic activity and provides feedback to staff.
• Ensures effective communication within and between departments.
• Provides leadership and a positive working environment fostering teamwork and ethical behavior.
• Develops, trains, coaches, disciplines, and mentors managers within the department.
• Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates.
• Assures effective orientation and training for new associates and develops ongoing training programs.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as described.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Agronomy preferred.
• Five to ten years related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience leading a team as Head Golf Course Superintendent preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• State Pesticide Applicator License.
• Valid Driver’s License.
