About the Role
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the loan lifecycle, leveraging expertise in home lending products and adhering to regulatory requirements while promoting Chase's financial products. This role offers a significant opportunity for career growth and business impact.
Responsibilities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Chase home lending products, local housing assistance programs, and grants for down payment/closing costs.
- Promote mortgage products to existing Chase customers and the community, cultivating a pipeline of potential homeowners through education and counseling.
- Act as an internal and external mortgage expert, driving mortgage loan originations through community engagement and external relationships.
- Partner with branch teams by providing product training, meeting with their customers, and introducing new clients for additional services.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience through various marketing channels including direct mail, advertisements, cross-selling, and digital outreach.
- Serve as the sole point of contact for the mortgage loan origination process, adeptly managing customer concerns, explaining terms, coordinating with stakeholders, troubleshooting issues, and tracking progress from engagement to closing.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in sales and/or real estate.
- Five years of proven mortgage sales experience with strong knowledge of products, credit, mortgage processes, and guidelines for FHA, VA, FNMA, and FHLMC, including low-down payment products.
- Knowledge of the local real estate market and the ability to develop external referral sources and networks (e.g., realtors, nonprofits, community groups).
- Demonstrated track record of customer satisfaction.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills for community outreach, homeowner education, and collaboration with community-based organizations.
- Intermediate Personal Computer skills in a Windows environment.
- Must be subject to Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators, including a review of criminal conviction history, credit report, and NMLS information.
- Any felony conviction within the last seven years will disqualify candidates.
- Requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008, including successful registration and timely renewal.
