About the Role
As an Assistant Residential Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities while assisting in the day-to-day operations of a residential program. You will work closely with individuals and staff members, helping to ensure quality care and support services are provided, fostering independence, promoting well-being, and encouraging community inclusion. This position requires a valid NYS Driver’s License for 18+ months with a clean driving history and successful completion of Brightway’s Transportation Orientation and one year of DSP experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with overseeing the daily operations of an adult residential program, ensuring a safe, supportive, and structured environment for the individuals we serve.
- Support and guide Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) by providing leadership, coaching, and shift support while helping maintain staffing coverage and program compliance.
- Provide hands-on assistance with personal care, meal preparation, transportation, medication administration support, and community outings as needed.
- Foster independence and social inclusion by helping individuals build daily living skills, achieve personal goals, and participate in meaningful community activities.
- Collaborate with Residential Managers, clinical teams, families, and staff to ensure high-quality care, effective communication, and continuity of support.
Requirements
- Valid NYS Driver’s License for 18+ months with a clean driving history
- Successful completion of Brightway’s Transportation Orientation
- One year of DSP experience
