About the Role
This high-impact role supports clients in designing, assessing, and evolving cloud operating models that are automation-first and AI-ready. You will work hands-on across technology, service management, and organizational change to help clients realize tangible business outcomes from cloud adoption, focusing on how GenAI, agentic workflows, and intelligent automation are reshaping operations.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on the operational and organisational impacts of cloud transformation and help develop digitally enabled business models underpinned by cloud and data-driven, AI-ready operating models.
- Conduct assessments and audits of existing cloud operating models to identify areas for improvement through standardisation, automation, improved data flows and readiness for AI-enabled operations.
- Translate findings into the design of future-state operating models, service management processes and organisational structures that are standardisation-led, automation-first and AI-ready.
- Design target cloud operating models, service management frameworks, and organisational structures that reflect the client’s strategic ambitions and cloud maturity.
- Define future-state processes across service delivery, governance and operational workflows ensuring designs are practical, measurable and aligned to automation-first and AI-ready principles.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and maturity of cloud operating model transformations, using operational metrics, serviced data and insights to recommend improvements.
- Support the introduction of intelligent monitoring, service analytics and AIOps-aligned practices where appropriate.
- Use skills in strategy development, service management, agile delivery, DevOps, business process mapping and organisational design to deliver digitally enabled business outcomes.
- Support the enabling of automation, intelligent workflows and AI-assisted operations as part of broader cloud transformation initiatives.
- Work at all organisational levels to innovate, design, and implement cloud transformations, contributing to the growth and success of the consulting practice.
- Advise clients on the practical application of large language models, copilot tooling and agentic AI within cloud operating models, including use cases in service management automation, intelligent triage, and AI-assisted decision-making.
- Support clients in understanding AI governance considerations, including data quality and transparency.
- Contribute to business development activities such as leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, and client hosting at events.
- Contribute to internal activities such as campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development, and offering development.
- Engage in learning and development activities to support career development and skills demand within the company, including certifications.
Requirements
- Experience in transforming businesses through technology and re-defining the way clients operate.
- Comfortable working in a technology-driven environment.
- Proven skills and experience in practical ITIL V4 and/or V5 best practices and frameworks, including Incident, Change Management, Problem Management, and Service Desk operations with an interest in how these processes evolve through automation and AI-enabled tooling.
- Hands-on familiarity with GenAI tooling and platforms and an understanding of how these integrate into cloud operating models and ITSM workflows.
- Experience of or strong interest in agentic AI patterns and how autonomous agents are beginning to reshape IT operations and service delivery.
- Experience with DevOps principles and practices, including continuous integration (CI), continuous deployment (CD), automated testing, infrastructure as code (IaC), and modern delivery pipelines.
- Well versed with managing and architecting solutions on major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including services like compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements, ensuring that cloud environments and automated services are secure, resilient, and adhere to industry standards and regulations.
- Currently working in a major Consulting firm, and/or in industry but having a Consulting background.
- Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
- Experience of proposition building and delivery.
- Demonstrated curiosity and continuous learning in the AI space, whether through certifications, personal projects, published thinking, or active contribution to AI-related communities or internal practice development.
- Experience in business development – Utilising a combination of the organisation’s broader pre-existing relationships, company relationships and your own network.
