About the Role

As a Field Sales Performance Manager for the Advanced Surgery division, you will represent Baxter's surgical products, build trust with sales representatives and customers, and elevate clinical and commercial capabilities. This leadership role involves coaching, mentoring, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and performance within the sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the quota of new hires in the assigned area.
  • Lead small teams and build trust to drive adoption of selling skills, clinical knowledge, and best practices.
  • Coach and mentor peers and sales representatives through direct supervision, 1:1 calls, field rides, field coaching reports, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Build culture by mentoring new hires, providing remote and in-person supervision, and teaching Commercial Selling Skills, Customer Knowledge, and Product Knowledge.
  • Create new educational content and experiences to accelerate skill development for sales representatives.
  • Partner with the Director of Global Commercial Training and Area Vice President to identify, plan, and deliver training for sales roles.
  • Deliver training and conduct regular in-person and virtual training meetings for internal customer groups.
  • Facilitate comprehensive Baxter Advanced Surgery training, focusing on clinical and practical sales knowledge.
  • Assist in leading regional/national sales meetings and facilitate new-product training and material updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR 8+ years of operating room sales experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with hospital-based selling in the OR.
  • Experience coaching, training, or mentoring peers.
  • At least 50% travel is required.
  • Proven experience coaching, mentoring, or training small teams and developing others toward measurable performance gains.
  • Knowledge of adult-learning methodologies.
  • Experience managing or creating medical education programs and content.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer-service skills.
  • Strong creative problem-solving and influence-management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and participate in numerous projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must live near a major metropolitan airport.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
