About the Role

This role focuses on establishing and expanding partnerships with pharmaceutical companies and driving revenue for Tempus' product line.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed revenue goals for the assigned product line while achieving strategic objectives for specific client accounts.
  • Build relationships with R&D and commercial executives at partner organizations to identify and develop value-creation opportunities.
  • Develop a deep scientific understanding of customer pipelines and commercial objectives.
  • Utilize a consultative approach to identify how Tempus products/services can impact client performance and drive adoption.
  • Proactively develop and implement scientific strategies and reports to enhance customer engagement and establish trust.
  • Communicate scientific and technical plans and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partner with the Account Team to ensure success against the opportunity pipeline.
  • Collaborate with Alliance Management and Operations to manage existing business and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Track progress against strategic objectives and revenue goals, reviewing frequently with the Account Team and Tempus Leadership.
  • Contribute to the development of the Life Sciences portfolio by providing client feedback and suggestions to Leadership.
  • Stay informed on the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory environment, emerging policy developments, and client priorities.
  • Travel approximately 30% of working time, domestically and internationally.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education at the Masters or PhD level combining quantitative/computational skills (e.g., Computational Biology, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics) with biological or medical knowledge (e.g., Cancer Biology, Genetics, Immunology).
  • 2+ years of post-graduate experience in data science, bioinformatics, biostatistics, epidemiology, immunology, public health, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and R, including relevant statistical tools and visualization packages.
  • Experience with Clinical Trial Design and/or Real World Evidence datasets.
  • Experience with integrative methods to model multi-modal clinical and/or omics data.
  • A proactive mindset that bridges ideas to implementable solutions and facilitates problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to build deep relationships with pharmaceutical stakeholders based on scientific understanding.
  • Deep knowledge of Drug Discovery, Translational Research/Computational Biology, or Real World Evidence methodologies, particularly in Oncology.
  • Experience in agile environments and comfort with quick iterations.
  • Exceptional account management skills, ability to articulate issues clearly, and navigate diverse stakeholders to solve problems.
