Broward College is seeking a part-time teaching position to contribute to its mission of educating students and supporting their academic and economic well-being. The ideal candidate will share the college’s commitment to academic excellence.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate mastery of discipline, commitment to student success, technological competence, and ability to engage students.
- Employ teaching methods to accommodate various academic preparations and incorporate engaging technology across different instruction modalities.
- Facilitate the needs of different learners by implementing responsive pedagogical techniques and effective student engagement practices.
- Examine and adapt instructional, relational, and classroom practices to effectively engage and support students.
- Engage in student consultation, course preparation, review of course outlines, and preparation of course syllabi.
- Provide prompt and constructive support to students through regular office hours and timely feedback.
- Provide prompt feedback to student emails.
- Adhere to all reporting deadlines, including grade processing, enrollment verification, syllabus submission, and textbook adoption.
- Participate in service to the college and its community.
Requirements
- Prior college teaching experience is preferred.
- High level of computer literacy.
- Commitment to teaching.
- Willingness to examine and adapt instructional, relational, and classroom practices.
- Must complete a completed online employment application form, resume, and unofficial transcript.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background screening.
- Must complete an I-9 Form and provide documentation of identity for employment purposes.
