About the Role

Broward College is seeking a part-time teaching position to contribute to its mission of educating students and supporting their academic and economic well-being. The ideal candidate will share the college’s commitment to academic excellence.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate mastery of discipline, commitment to student success, technological competence, and ability to engage students.
• Employ teaching methods to accommodate various academic preparations and incorporate engaging technology across different instruction modalities.
• Facilitate the needs of different learners by implementing responsive pedagogical techniques and effective student engagement practices.
• Examine and adapt instructional, relational, and classroom practices to effectively engage and support students.
• Engage in student consultation, course preparation, review of course outlines, and preparation of course syllabi.
• Provide prompt and constructive support to students through regular office hours and timely feedback.
• Provide prompt feedback to student emails.
• Adhere to all reporting deadlines, including grade processing, enrollment verification, syllabus submission, and textbook adoption.
• Participate in service to the college and its community.

Requirements

• Prior college teaching experience is preferred.
• High level of computer literacy.
• Commitment to teaching.
• Willingness to examine and adapt instructional, relational, and classroom practices.
• Must complete a completed online employment application form, resume, and unofficial transcript.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background screening.
• Must complete an I-9 Form and provide documentation of identity for employment purposes.
