About the Role

Broward College is seeking a part-time teaching position to contribute to its mission of educating students and supporting the educational attainment and economic well-being of the student population and surrounding community.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate mastery of specific discipline, commitment to student success, technological competence, and ability to engage students.
  • Employ teaching methods to accommodate various academic preparations and incorporate technology across different instruction modalities.
  • Facilitate the needs of different learners by implementing responsive pedagogical techniques.
  • Examine and adapt instructional, relational, and classroom practices to engage and support students.
  • Engage in student consultation, course preparation, review of course outlines, and preparation of course syllabi.
  • Provide prompt and constructive support to students through regular office hours and timely feedback.
  • Provide prompt feedback to student emails.
  • Adhere to all reporting deadlines.
  • Participate in service to the college and its community.

Requirements

  • Prior college teaching experience is preferred.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Commitment to teaching.
  • All schedules require office hours and some may require evening and/or weekend hours.
  • Must provide a resume and unofficial transcript.
  • Official transcripts will be required prior to hire.
  • Foreign transcripts require an equivalency statement from a certified transcript evaluation service.
  • Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of the required background screening process.
  • Must complete an I-9 Form and provide documentation of identity for employment purposes.

Salary/Compensations

  • $2,286 - $2491.02 (Salary commensurate with education and experience)
