About the Role

As part of our Activation team, the Operators & Negotiators, you bring strategy to life through thoughtful execution. Activation is where planning becomes performance. From broadcast to biddable platforms, this team places the right message in the right moment, securing the best inventory and ensuring every impression is accountable. As a Programmatic Trader, you play a critical role in connecting strategy, activation, and optimization, transforming thoughtful media plans into measurable business outcomes. Every campaign you launch, monitor, and refine helps ensure every signal sharpens the next decision.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and optimize campaigns across platforms including Google Campaign Manager 360, DV360, The Trade Desk, and other demand-side platforms.
  • Implement, validate, and troubleshoot tracking to ensure accurate measurement and reporting.
  • Monitor pacing, delivery, and campaign health while proactively identifying opportunities and resolving issues before they impact performance.
  • Build clear, actionable reporting that translates campaign data into meaningful business insights.
  • Partner with Planning, Analytics, Ad Operations, and platform teams to ensure campaign setup aligns with strategic objectives and measurement frameworks.
  • Develop audience targeting, bidding, and optimization strategies aligned with client business goals and audience insights.
  • Manage campaign budgets, pacing, forecasting, bid adjustments, and ongoing optimizations to maximize efficiency and performance.
  • Execute thoughtful testing strategies across audiences, creative, inventory, and bidding approaches to continuously improve results.
  • Maintain rigorous quality assurance standards throughout campaign setup, launch, and optimization.
  • Allocate investment strategically across tactics to maximize client outcomes.
  • Analyze campaign data to identify trends, opportunities, and optimization recommendations.
  • Evaluate performance using Excel, Tableau, SQL, Python, or similar analytical tools.
  • Translate campaign results into recommendations that help internal teams and clients understand what happened, why it happened, and what should happen next.
  • Share learnings that strengthen future planning, activation strategies, and agency best practices.
  • Stay current on evolving programmatic capabilities, privacy regulations, platform enhancements, and industry trends.
  • Participate in internal training, partner sessions, and cross-functional collaboration to deepen your expertise.
  • Contribute knowledge and recommendations that help teammates and clients navigate changes across the programmatic landscape.

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years of experience managing campaigns within platforms such as The Trade Desk, DV360, MediaMath, or comparable DSPs.
  • Strong understanding of programmatic buying, audience targeting, bidding strategies, pacing, forecasting, optimization techniques, and campaign measurement.
  • Experience working across display, video, mobile, CTV, OTT, audio, and emerging programmatic channels.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with Tableau, SQL, Python, Google Data Studio, or similar analytical tools.
  • Experience implementing campaign tracking, troubleshooting delivery issues, and validating campaign measurement.
  • Working knowledge of Google Campaign Manager 360 and digital ad serving best practices.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to uncover insights from complex datasets.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills while managing multiple campaigns and priorities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify technical concepts for different audiences.
  • Curiosity and a desire to continuously learn new platforms, technologies, and optimization approaches.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong relationships across planning, analytics, operations, and client teams.
  • You continue building your programmatic expertise by applying sound judgment, technical precision, and thoughtful analysis.
