About the Role
The Account Coordinator is the backbone of a successful account team, helping to keep the team organized and informed, while also assisting with the execution of integrated communications campaigns. You will work on 2-3 consumer brands, focusing on PR programs that include earned media storytelling, influencer programming, and bold creative platforms.
Responsibilities
- Capture the attention of earned media by building media lists using resources such as Cision and Muckrack
- Help craft pitches
- Monitor for client, competitor and industry coverage
- Conduct in depth media research and manual audits of media coverage; synthesize and recap findings for teams
- Conduct media outreach and secure coverage
- Begin to form relationships with key media contacts
- Build influencer rosters
- Support content review process
- Collect and report back-end creator metrics
- Pitch influencers on earned coverage
- Serve as coordinator of your team, schedule internal/client calls
- Set call agendas and share comprehensive recaps
- Organize client folders and databases on a regular basis
- Oversee brand samples and track inventory (if applicable)
- Coordinate deliveries to media and influencers
- Coordinate team/client meeting details (check in, meals, etc.)
- Support client events and mailers
- Manage media coverage reports and tracking documents
- Provide ongoing monitoring for client and competitor coverage
- Own ongoing client reports (e.g., weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, etc.) and trackers, keeping them updated and accurate
- Support programmatic reports (e.g., event recap, mailer recap, influencer campaign recap, etc.)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 0-1 years of experience (internships included)
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills
- Team player demonstrating a positive and flexible attitude
- Proactive, vocal and curious mindset
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
