About the Role
Avalon Consulting Group partners with nonprofit organizations to raise funds for environmental conservation, social justice, and cultural arts through multi-channel fundraising campaigns. As an Account Director, you will lead strategy and execution of integrated fundraising programs, serve as a trusted advisor to clients, and guide high-performing teams to ensure campaign success.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end fundraising strategy and execution for omnichannel direct response programs, guiding campaigns from initial concept through production, analysis, and optimization.
- Collaborate with writers, designers, analysts, and program managers to develop compelling, high-performing campaigns across channels.
- Serve as a strategic partner to clients by monitoring performance, managing budgets, and recommending adjustments to maximize results.
- Mentor and support the team, contribute to business development efforts, and ensure work meets high standards of quality and impact.
Requirements
- At least five (5) years of direct response fundraising experience, ideally within a nonprofit or agency environment.
- Strong client management skills and the ability to build trusted, long-term relationships.
- Experience managing budgets, timelines, and campaign performance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and guide cross-functional teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to clients.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience mentoring or managing team members.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to balance big-picture thinking and executional detail.
- Comfort navigating change and helping teams adapt and grow.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach to challenges.
