About the Role

This position primarily supports the freezer and cooler areas of the warehouse. Knowledge of multiple areas is mandatory to ensure smooth operations during staff absences or heavy workloads. The role involves various phases including receiving, stocking, order selection, shipping, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Unload vehicles and accurately count products received, checking for condition.
• Review and sign delivery documentation.
• Prepare and submit Log and Receipt Data Entry forms.
• Properly slot and stock products, including preparing pallet tags.
• Adhere to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles for stocking and rotation.
• Notify Warehouse Manager of depleting inventory items.
• Inform the receiving area of slot changes.
• Select product for agency orders from pick lists and provide sign-offs.
• Communicate the need for product replenishment from reserve areas.
• Report any damage or depletion of items from floor, cooler, or freezer areas to the Warehouse Manager.
• Operate a Crown Man-Up order selector and work at heights up to 30 feet.
• Prepare outbound product for delivery.
• Load outbound trucks, ensuring accurate counts and product condition.
• Prepare invoices and outbound bills of lading.
• Deliver documents promptly to warehouse office staff.
• Ensure proper use, care, and working condition of assigned equipment.
• Report equipment servicing needs to the Warehouse Manager.
• Assist with warehouse maintenance tasks as requested.
• Report any facility abnormalities to the Warehouse Manager.
• Maintain a clean condition of supplied uniform clothing.
• Assist with mission work as needed, including truck spotting, food distributions, and meal preparation/serving.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Assist with spot, weekly, and/or monthly inventories.

Requirements

• Must be fully literate.
• Exhibit satisfactory four basic math skills.
• Must have heavy attention to detail.
• Must possess a N.Y.S. Certificate.
• Must be able to operate a forklift vehicle.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds continually during the workday.
• Must possess an active N.Y.S. Driver's license.
• Ability to volunteer at events.
