About the Role
LensCrafters is seeking an Associate Optometrist to lead in delivering exceptional patient care and driving practice growth. This role involves performing clinical protocols, supporting medical practice, and providing pre/post-op surgical support while ensuring a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the brand promise, experience & key results through collaboration & teamwork.
- Ensure patients receive the highest quality Optometric care by performing clinical protocols.
- Maximize results & practices growth through strong partnership with the MOD, SMM & team.
- Support the organization (and market) with medical practice, referral care, and pre/post-op surgical support.
- Ensure executional excellence & winning results in partnership with the MOD & store team.
- Demonstrate commitment to exceed results through strong competency in KPI management & high accountability.
- Ensure LensCrafters is recognized as a medical eyecare provider within the community.
- Operate as a successful stakeholder to all leaders within the organization & local market.
- Place the patient/customer 1st & deliver excellent service.
- Strive to exceed expectations on all KPIs.
- Convey a commitment to providing unsurpassed Patient Service through ensuring staff performs the following Service Process steps: Make eyewear recommendations, explain each step of the eye exam, utilize tools & visual aids, communicate the need for annual eye exams, and ensure patients are appointed for their next exam.
- Address all patient/customer visual lifestyle needs including medical and surgical recommendations.
- Conduct services in line with protocol and standards of care; establish Doctor/Patient Relationships.
- Ensure all patients receive accurate diagnosis & appropriate recommendations.
- Establish a positive Doctor/patient relationship.
- Utilize & leverage effectively all technology to deliver unsurpassed patient/customer experiences.
- Maintain State Licensure in good standing & practice to the full scope of that license.
- Be responsible for maintaining Continuing Education requirements.
- Provide effective training & guidance to team members making use of Company provided programs.
- Deliver clear, motivating & constructive feedback in a timely manner to all associates.
- Create a positive culture linked to the corporate culture; identify what motivates each individual & direct conversations & actions appropriately.
- Encourage associate decision making at the level closest to the patient.
- Maximize partnerships through leadership, participation & involvement.
- Take pride in the appearance of the office.
- Maintain a safe working environment for all associates/patients.
- Lead by example.
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry
- Commitment to quality patient care
- Knowledge of Medical Optometry, including Billing and Coding
- Knowledge of Surgical Care and practices pertaining to Optometry
- Knowledge of current Optometric theory & technology
- Strong communicator & listener
- Problem solving ability
- Solid Organization skills
- Residency trained (preferred)
- Medical care experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of surgical care and practices pertaining to Optometry (preferred)
