About the Role
Lead the day-to-day trading and optimisation of Arsenal Direct, using data, customer insight and commercial awareness to enhance the online experience for supporters globally. This is a fast-paced leadership role influencing trading strategy, leading a team, and delivering key commercial moments across ecommerce channels.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver trading activity across Arsenal Direct, using performance data, customer insight and commercial priorities to drive growth.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve product visibility, conversion and revenue performance.
- Coordinate major product launches, campaigns and trading events, ensuring a seamless online experience.
- Monitor performance and customer behaviour, providing clear recommendations to shape future trading decisions.
- Take ownership of trading reports and dashboards, ensuring stakeholders have access to accurate insights.
- Improve product presentation, merchandising and site experiences that encourage conversion.
- Collaborate with Buying, Merchandising, Marketing, Content and Digital Product teams to deliver joined-up commercial activity.
- Coach, support and empower colleagues to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Significant experience in improving online performance, customer experience, and commercial results.
- Proven success in delivering trading strategies, including managing high-profile trading periods.
- Ability to interpret performance data and customer insight, turning findings into impactful actions.
- Balance supporter needs with commercial priorities to deliver exceptional online experiences.
- Ability to build effective, trusted relationships across teams and deliver shared objectives through cross-functional collaboration.
- Understanding of levers that influence conversion, revenue growth, and customer engagement across ecommerce platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience in supporting development and coaching colleagues to deliver accurate, high-quality work.
- Successful candidates will be required to complete a DBS check and other essential background checks.
