About the Role

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors, support a welcoming environment, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a technology workplace.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, entry points, parking areas, and the property perimeter, reporting unusual conditions or potential hazards.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and help to deter unauthorized access.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations accurately and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
