About the Role
In the role of Civil/Highway Engineering Co-op, you will work as a member of a design team on multiple projects serving clients such as NYCDEP, NYCDDC, NYC Dept. of Parks & Recreation, MTA-New York City Transit, NYCDOT, PANYNJ and NYSDOT. The position includes preparation of plans, detail drawing/calculation checks, and estimate and quantity take-offs for projects of various sizes and complexities. The candidate will need to be a self-motivated individual who utilizes the highest level of professionalism while performing engineering assignments. The candidate will also perform other duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Work as a member of a design team on multiple projects serving clients such as NYCDEP, NYCDDC, NYC Dept. of Parks & Recreation, MTA-New York City Transit, NYCDOT, PANYNJ and NYSDOT
- Prepare plans, detail drawing/calculation checks, and estimate and quantity take-offs for projects of various sizes and complexities
- Perform other duties as needed
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
- Attention to detail
- Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
- Previous AE internship experience is preferred
- Preference is given to local candidates
