About the Role

The New Restaurant Opening Trainer, Tim Hortons, US is responsible for leading hands-on training and operational readiness for new restaurant openings. The role supports restaurant Team Members, Managers, and Franchisees through pre-opening preparation and post-opening stabilization to help each restaurant become strong, stable, and self-sufficient.

Responsibilities

  • Train and direct Tim Hortons Restaurant Team Members during new restaurant openings, providing frequent feedback, coaching, and reinforcement of operational standards.
  • Partner with Restaurant Teams, Restaurant Managers and new Franchisees to support opening readiness.
  • Lead the restaurant team through the pre-opening training plan and ensure the team is prepared to meet operational expectations.
  • Ensure teams successfully complete the operational pre-opening assessment at the end of the multi-week training period.
  • Work shoulder-to-shoulder in Tim Hortons restaurants during their initial opening, providing post-opening coaching and support to help teams stabilize operations and become self-sufficient.
  • Provide support for corporate restaurants, franchised locations, and various corporate departments within Tim Hortons.
  • Participate in special assignments and Tim Hortons-focused events within the community as needed.
  • Ensure training plans are completed on schedule and to the required standard.
  • Assist restaurant teams in demonstrating readiness and successfully complete the pre-opening operational assessment.
  • Help new restaurants transition toward stable, confident, and self-sufficient operations through effective post-opening support, demonstrated by speed of service, guest satisfaction, and other operational goals.

Requirements

  • Guest Service/Hospitality-oriented team player with a “can-do” attitude.
  • Passion for working with and coaching others.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to travel extensively across the USA for several weeks at a time.

Salary/Compensations

  • $65,000 - $75,000
  • Eligible for annual discretionary bonus plan
  • May be eligible for additional compensation in the form of equity grants
