About the Role
The Associate Investment Banking role involves providing structure, marketing, and execution support to senior team members. This position may also offer transactional, statistical analysis, and executional support on a rotational basis.
Responsibilities
- Provide structure, marketing, and execution activities supporting senior team members.
- Provide transactional, statistical analysis, and executional support on a rotational basis.
- Research and analyze clients' financial situations, industry and market data, and mergers and acquisition opportunities.
- Value private and public companies.
- Perform complex financial and M&A modeling.
- Prepare external client proposals and internal underwriting memos.
- Prepare client presentations.
- Assist with client negotiations and documentation.
- Provide structure, transactional, and marketing support at a professional and subject matter expert level.
- Recommend and implement solutions, providing advanced analysis or specialized work.
- Develop and maintain contacts with market participants.
- Provide updates regarding institutional/retail demand and remaining TD liability for equity deals.
- Work closely with and oversee junior colleagues to ensure accuracy.
- Establish an environment that promotes respect for the individual employee and adheres to Bank policies and guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information.
- Stay informed on market data, economic information, key industry developments, and regulatory standards.
- Direct, train, and develop staff to enable them to meet challenges, department objectives, and achieve full potential.
- Demonstrate governance, control, and risk management behaviors in alignment with TD policies and practices.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics.
- Series 7, 79, and 63.
- 3+ Years of related experience.
