About the Role

Make a lasting impression on patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens as a patient registrar with our Physical Therapy Department. Assist patients with questions and concerns, keep families informed, and deliver superior customer service to our diverse local community. This position is Monday - Friday day shift at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for various procedures and appointments.
• Collect demographic details and insurance information, including pre-certifications and authorizations.
• Ensure accurate scheduling.
• Serve as a calm and reassuring presence for patients.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least one year of clerical experience
• Computer skills
• Exceptional customer services skills
• All roles require on-site presence.
• Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
• NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Skills

• Familiarity with health insurance requirements and clinical coding
