About the Role

Promotes, implements, supervises, and supports programs providing services to children aged birth to 10 years in accordance with the Club's mission, Child Care policies, and Ontario Early Years mission.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the needs of children (aged 0 to 10 years) and provides educational and interesting programming.
• Develops achievable goals and objectives for groups or individual children.
• Ensures the development, promotion, and implementation of programs and services.
• Ensures the safety and security of Club members during programs.
• Ensures that supplies, equipment, and the facility are available and in safe working condition.
• Consults and works with colleagues, groups, and other service providers.
• Assists with the setup and cleanup of the EarlyON program daily.
• Supervises clients (group and individual) and adapts programs to meet their developmental, cultural, social/emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment.
• Completes necessary paperwork, including daily/monthly checks and cleaning.
• Ensures clients sign in and out daily and completes all registration information.
• Actively participates and attends activities as a member of the Club’s team.
• Transitions children safely to and from school or enhanced programs.
• Assists Preschool RECE’s with child care needs, routines, and assigned paperwork.

Requirements

• Experience working with children birth to 10 years.
• Immunization Records (MMR, Hep B, TB (within 6 months), TDP).
• Current First Aid and CPR-C.
• Police Reference Check (current – within 6 months).
