The role involves making complex business and investing topics conversational and interesting for millions of readers, requiring a distinct writing voice that is witty, informative, and memorable.
Responsibilities
- Craft compelling stories most relevant to the audience.
- Convey the brand’s fun, informative, trusted personality through writing.
- Work closely with editors and cross-functionally with creators, designers, and other writers.
- Contribute to a multi-channel media company that operates 20+ unique content franchises.
Requirements
- Extremely interested in investing.
- In-depth understanding of how capital markets function.
- Ability to convey the brand’s fun, informative, trusted personality through writing.
- Distinct writing voice that embodies Morning Brew’s style: witty but not cringe, informative but never dry, and memorable.
- Team player and ability to get along with peers.
- Flexibility and a game-for-anything attitude.
- Candidates with more than four years experience writing about markets and investing are strongly preferred.
