About the Role
At General Dynamics Electric Boat, you will be part of creating state-of-the-art submarines that can operate and perform missions in extreme environments. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and delivering electrical systems to the shipyard and the US Navy Fleet, contributing to the protection of national freedoms.
Responsibilities
- Develop and review changes to electrical system diagrams, including system interfaces.
- Evaluate electrical cableways design and routing drawings.
- Troubleshoot issues identified by the construction team.
- Write procedures to test and maintain electrical systems.
- Interface with internal customers to ensure the system is installed to plan.
- Work with operations to support installation and test.
- Review and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Level Clearance.
- 10 or more years of post-graduate engineering experience.
- Prior defense contractor systems engineering experience.
- Shipyard/manufacturing experience.
