About the Role
As a Chef de Partie, you will oversee all kitchen sections, mentor line cooks, and collaborate with management on culinary offerings. This role provides opportunities to work across various meal periods, cuisines, and culinary styles, perfect for advancing your culinary career.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to standard operating procedures.
- Train, mentor, and supervise culinary team members, acting as a liaison to kitchen management.
- Assist kitchen management in developing new dishes and menus.
- Ensure high standards of food hygiene and adherence to health and safety regulations for yourself and your team.
- Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
- Report daily operations to kitchen leadership, including inventory needs, preparation status, cleanliness, and team concerns.
- Deliver a high-quality culinary experience and execute menu items.
- Manage inventory levels at your station and ensure timely food order delivery to maintain workflow.
- Take accountability for kitchen safety and cleanliness, product quality, and communicate ordering and preparation needs across the kitchen team and management.
- Work towards achieving individual and team goals.
- Comply with all Archive standards, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Share a passion for culinary arts and hotel management.
- Possess prior cooking experience and a willingness to learn.
- Have at least 5 years of kitchen experience in a cook role.
- Be versed in food safety to ensure the highest standards are executed.
- Be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting/carrying 50 pounds.
