About the Role

Charles River Associates (CRA) is seeking candidates with a background in quantitative research for internship opportunities. The Summer Analyst/Associate Internship program provides an understanding of CRA's business and experience with live client consulting projects within a practice area over an 8-10 week period. Successful interns may be offered a full-time position upon graduation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct economic and industry research to build an understanding of a case’s issues
  • Perform financial and economic analyses or create valuation models to support case theories
  • Program, build models, and perform regression analyses using languages such as Excel, Stata, R, Python, SQL, or SAS
  • Develop familiarity with data sources that serve as input to your analyses
  • Review and summarize analyst reports, client documents and industry trade press
  • Assist in the production and development of research summaries, expert reports, and findings presentations
  • Ensure reliability of analysis through quality control review

Requirements

  • Resume including current address, personal email and telephone number
  • Cover letter describing interest in CRA and how the role matches goals, noting practice or location preference
  • Transcript (may be unofficial)
  • Writing sample independently authored and includes commentary on a quantitative analysis
  • Mandarin language fluency is required for consideration for China Competition projects, involving additional interviews to evaluate written (Simple Chinese), verbal, and comprehension skills in economic analysis and business settings.
