About the Role
The Department of Nursing at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time TH Clinical Technical Service EKG Associate, Float Team (Nights).
Responsibilities
- Conduct cardiac monitoring on the adult population
- Perform phlebotomy
- Practice effective infection control measures
- Perform direct nursing care activities as delegated
- Perform indirect nursing care activities as determined by routine assignment and unit activity
- Demonstrate knowledge of normal growth and development in the delivery of care to patients
- Respond to the changing needs of patient care areas
- Use problem-solving in meeting patient care and unit needs
- Maintain a safe and efficient work environment
- Obtain, record, and exchange information on behalf of the patient
- Use ethical principles to guide decisions and actions consistent with UHB’s operating goals and objectives
- Respect and promote Patients’ Rights
- Foster/maintain positive public relations with patients, families, visitors, and staff
- Communicate effectively with customers, visitors, patients, and staff
- Represent the hospital positively by demonstrating respect and courtesy to all patients, colleagues, staff, and visitors
