About the Role
This is a mobile van position for an electrical building service engineer responsible for planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment, including building fabric.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, including full electrical & mechanical PPM and reactive works, minor building repairs, plumbing works including drainage and other general duties.
- Close/update completed Reactive & PPM tasks on the site PDA computerised maintenance system.
- Ensure standards of workmanship are maintained to maximize the operation, effectiveness, and reliability of the building and associated systems.
- Assist specialist subcontractors with PPM and reactive works.
- Ensure all site procedures are adhered to.
- Ensure both site and ABM Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain accurate site records/documentation associated with all site works.
- Inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with call-outs/repairs as required.
- Provide regular on-call cover for site emergencies outside of normal working hours.
- Carry out tasks within typical building environments and at high level, working from platforms and ladders.
- Keep and maintain all ABM issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
- Proactively work towards the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach.
- Comply with ABM Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
- Complete any other associated tasks requested by management.
- Flexibility to work within several sites with different variety of customers and sites.
Requirements
- Worked or currently working in a similar Retail/Commercial maintenance environment.
- Familiar with Air Handling Units, Emergency lighting, L8 requirements, Fire Alarm Testing, and Plumbing.
- Possess any additional trade qualifications (plumbing, Mechanical or electrical).
