About the Role
The Senior Application Developer will design, develop, enhance, and support full-stack business applications and management dashboards that meet organizational needs and improve operational efficiency. This role will work across all phases of the application lifecycle and software development, requiring strong technical expertise in front-end, back-end, database, integration, and dashboarding. The developer will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure applications are reliable, secure, scalable, and aligned with departmental and enterprise technology standards.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the planning, implementation, delivery, and ongoing administration of enterprise information systems, data platforms, dashboarding and reporting solutions.
- Contribute to assigned project activities, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications across program management, project management, software development lifecycle, and application lifecycle efforts.
- Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, document, analyze, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Contribute to solution design, configuration, development, testing, quality assurance, deployment, and post-implementation support for enterprise technology initiatives.
- Contribute to application development, system enhancements, integrations, and process improvements in accordance with organizational standards and approved technology practices.
- Assist with enterprise data management, reporting, dashboards, business intelligence, data quality, data governance, and related analytical activities.
- Monitor project status and proactively communicate risks, issues, dependencies, and action items to relevant stakeholders.
- Analyze business processes, operational needs, and system performance to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, effectiveness, and data accessibility.
- Prepare, maintain, and organize project documentation, technical documentation, requirements materials, test plans, user guides, and related deliverables.
- Provide analytical, technical, and operational support to ensure systems and data solutions meet business requirements, user needs, and organizational standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
- At least 8 years of progressive experience supporting enterprise software systems, data platforms, reporting solutions, and application development initiatives.
- At least 6 years of progressive experience with program management, project management, Agile, SDLC, ALM, requirements gathering, solution design & development, testing, quality assurance, deployment, and post-implementation support.
- Experience with enterprise technologies such as Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft SQL, .NET Full Stack Development with C# and Python.
- Proficient with development tools Visual Studio, Telerik, Aspose, Nintex, Azure Dev Ops, Fiddler, Postman, Web Form Platforms.
- Experience with enterprise data governance, data management, data quality, and API integration.
- Proficient in building reports, dashboards, and business intelligence practices.
- Experience with data lake medallion architecture and building Power BI dashboards with KPIs, measures, DAX, Tabular Editor.
- Experience using source control, DevOps, performance monitoring, & application security tools.
- Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and cross-functional partners to translate business needs into practical technology solutions.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills with effective stakeholder management.
- NYC residency is required within 180 days of hire.
