About the Role
The Community Assistant is a multifaceted position that assists with day-to-day operations, leasing, and facility maintenance. This role provides scheduled educational programs to build an inclusive, living-learning environment for the apartment community, aiming to help residents reach their academic and personal goals and foster communal expertise.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to residents in reaching personal and educational goals.
- Lease and market apartments.
- Collaborate with management to create and maintain a resident community conducive to living-learning through student success programming and budget-conscious event planning.
- Assist with move-in and move-out preparations, including administrative, operational, and maintenance tasks.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks and respond to after-hours lockouts if required.
- Assist in preventative maintenance as directed by the management team.
- Maintain all required documentation within property management software and report issues to the Resident Director or Community Manager.
- Foster a positive peer mentor relationship with residents and cultivate a community environment.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and resident information.
- Assist with social media management and documentation of community programs.
- Maintain proper records of resident student status in coordination with the Resident Director.
- Assist with move-out and move-out preparations through administrative, operations, and maintenance.
