About the Role

Frontline leadership focused on safety and resident care, setting high standards for repairs delivery. This role involves day-to-day ownership of live works, making sound decisions, and managing changing priorities to keep jobs moving and risks controlled. A strong safety culture, clear communication, and pride in workmanship are essential for a positive resident experience.

Responsibilities

• On-site supervision of trade operatives delivering repairs across voids, responsive repairs, damp and mould, and roofing workstreams.
• Manage daily workloads and juggle multiple jobs and priorities.
• Maintain strong control over quality, productivity, and performance.
• Embed a positive safety culture, ensuring safe systems of work are followed.
• Challenge poor practice where necessary.
• Deliver a high-quality, right-first-time repairs service for residents.

Requirements

• Trade-qualified supervisor (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a core building trade).
• Strong technical knowledge of housing repairs and maintenance.
• Proven experience supervising and motivating trade operatives.
• Experience driving productivity, quality of work, and value for money.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Ability to manage safe systems of work and challenge poor practice on site.
• Ability to manage day-to-day operational delivery, balancing reactive workloads, changing priorities, and performance targets.
• Customer-focused mindset.
• Proactive team player who can develop operatives and support training needs.
• Contribute to continuous service improvement.
