About the Role
Change Grow Live is a charity dedicated to helping individuals change the direction of their lives, grow as individuals, and live life to its full potential. This role involves assessing and engaging with service users to ensure they receive the right intervention at the right time. Flexibility, curiosity, and strong listening skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Engage individuals with substance misuse problems, providing advice, support, and recovery-focused interventions.
- Conduct personalized assessments for service users seeking structured treatment.
- Book nurse alcohol assessments with the clinical team when identified as necessary.
- Liaise with partner agencies regarding service user engagement updates.
- Deliver harm reduction and brief intervention advice during the triage process.
- Manage and maintain the referral-in spreadsheet.
- Handle safeguarding concerns that arise during the triage process.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience in a similar field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good IT skills.
- Proactive with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Flexibility to work occasional late nights.
- Driving license is an advantage for potential home visit assessments.
- Good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and best practices.
- Supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage change effectively, prioritizing service user needs.
- Understanding of information governance processes and commitment to safeguards.
- Proactive in seeking learning opportunities and contributing to the development of others.
- Must have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not provided.

- CGL points 23 to 28 (£28,557.79 - £32,802.41) pro rata
- Outer London Weighting (£2,250.61) pro rata
