About the Role
Work Ready is seeking a compassionate, skilled, adaptable, and reliable Employment Specialist to assist individuals with mild to moderate disabilities in achieving meaningful employment in the Austin area. You will manage a caseload, guide customers through the job market, secure employment, and provide on-the-job support until they work independently.
Responsibilities
- Support 12–16 clients at a time through job readiness, placement, and retention.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and placement records.
- Submit job applications on behalf of clients and follow up in person with local businesses.
- Build and maintain a network of employers through face-to-face outreach.
- Create interview opportunities through in-person networking and advocacy.
- Match clients with jobs that reflect their employment goals and strengths.
- Provide job coaching and accommodations to ensure long-term success and satisfaction.
Requirements
- Prior success in marketing, sales, or customer-facing roles is a plus.

- $40,000 annual salary during training & credentialing period (120 days)
- $15,200 base salary plus incentives post-credentialing
- Average Annual Income: $58,000–$64,000
