About the Role
The Business Development Specialist – [Markets] is an integral part of Latham’s Business Development (BD) team, responsible for supporting the Chicago and Latin America markets. This role collaborates with local BD Managers and partners to establish trust and provide resources within the assigned office.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, execution, and evaluation of Business Development and Marketing initiatives and business plans for Chicago and Latin America markets.
- Plan and assist with office event initiatives, cross-selling, and client-targeting initiatives.
- Collaborate with various teams (BD Core, New Business, Creative, Events, Marketing Technology, Library & Research, Alumni, Brand & Communications, Financial Insights & Consulting) to deliver information on client intelligence, research, pitches, events, and lawyer materials.
- Assist in monitoring office initiatives with key account clients.
- Act as the go-to resource for office BD needs and support.
- Protect and maintain highly sensitive, confidential, financial, and proprietary information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in marketing, business development, office administration, or related functions.
- Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to interact with people at all organizational levels.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently and in a team environment with a customer-service focus.
- Organizational skills to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines.
Skills
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
