About the Role
Shape how humans and AI collaborate at a leading reinsurance organization, optimizing human-AI interaction to deliver sustainable improvements in decision quality, productivity, and employee and client experience. Own projects and partner with AI product teams, business leads, and UX/UI specialists to solve practical human-AI challenges.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end behavioural science and human-AI consulting projects, partnering with AI product teams and business owners across reimagination, MVP development and scaling.
- Structure ambiguous business questions, diagnose behavioural and organisational challenges, and apply behavioural science and human-centred design to shape effective human-AI workflows and drive sustained adoption and intelligent AI use.
- Design interventions, helping users develop appropriate trust and understand when to rely on, challenge or verify AI outputs.
- Translate behavioural science and human-AI research into practical recommendations and conduct primary research where needed.
- Develop and test measures of overall human and AI performance, including decision quality, appropriate reliance, productivity, user experience and business value, using qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Translate project learnings into reusable human-AI principles, frameworks, tools and guidelines for L&H and the wider Swiss Re Group.
- Act as a subject-matter expert, facilitate multidisciplinary stakeholder engagement, contribute to internal publications, presentations and prioritised external client engagements.
Requirements
- An advanced degree (e.g. master's degree or PhD) in behavioural science, psychology, cognitive science, human-computer interaction, UX/user research, organisational psychology or another relevant discipline.
- Approximately 3–6 years of relevant professional experience, for example in behavioural science consulting, innovation/R&D, human-centred design, change management, or AI transformation.
- Familiarity with human-AI interaction and AI-enabled workflows, including topics such as trust and reliance, explainability/interpretability, human oversight, automation, user agency or AI adoption.
- Experience applying qualitative and/or quantitative research methods, such as interviews, observation, surveys, experiments, behavioural data analysis or usability/user testing, and translating findings into practical recommendations.
- Experience in insurance, financial services or another complex or regulated industry would be advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal English, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to a wide range of stakeholders; additional languages are a plus.
- Problem-solving and advisory skills: Able to structure ambiguous business problems, identify the underlying behavioural or human-AI challenges and structure a pragmatic approach to solving them.
- Confident communicator: Comfortable running workshops, presenting recommendations and constructively challenging stakeholders.
- Independent ownership: Able to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality projects with limited supervision.
