About the Role

As a Senior Tax Staff in our Global Compliance and Reporting Group, you will gain skills and knowledge to tackle major taxation challenges. Responsibilities

  • Combine corporate tax work with structured and virtual learning.
  • Gain experience in tax compliance, tax accrual review, income tax provision calculation, and tax planning.
  • Focus on key client issues and implement tax strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Contribute to client satisfaction by providing quality, timely, and responsive services.
  • Demonstrate understanding of complex tax concepts.
  • Discuss moderately complex tax issues with the engagement team and client management.
  • Stay informed of current tax developments and apply tax knowledge to client situations.
  • Thoroughly and accurately analyze information.
  • Prepare practical and effective approaches to client's tax situations and arrive at appropriate conclusions.
  • Share tax planning ideas with others.
  • Participate in and contribute to achieving team goals.
  • Assist in developing recommendations and implementation plans.
  • Assist in making quality decisions in complex areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Accounting designation or Master's degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant CDN Corporate tax experience or equivalent experience in business or industry.
  • Broad exposure to corporate income taxation.
  • Ability to research and write utilizing electronic tax tools.
  • Excellent managerial, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Maturity, proactive attitude, commitment, and a highly motivated and driven team player.
