About the Role

This on-site position supports the senior accounting staff of a NYC based travel agency and plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, resolving vendor discrepancies, and ensuring timely submission of critical industry reports.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Accounting Manager
  • Edit and process invoices for accuracy and compliance with agency standards, account reconciliation
  • Post and update vendor and ARC transactions in designated systems
  • Research and process ACM (Agency Credit Memos) and ADM (Agency Debit Memos) for ARC settlement
  • Identify and resolve accounting issues and discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Prepare and submit weekly ARC and other financial reports as required

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level minimum)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to act with integrity and deal sensitively with confidential information
  • Basic accounting background or equivalent
  • Travel industry experience
  • Familiarity with ARC reporting procedures and requirements
  • Knowledge of TRAMS/TRES back-office accounting system
